Why should you use spigot rings?
When the center of the rim is larger than the hub of the car, nails are used to center the rim against the hub.

If you drive without hooks, the wheel is bolt-centered (or with nuts), so it does not follow the center of the wheel hub which can be different.
If you drive with a hub, it’s the wheel hub that determines the centering, not the bolts / nuts!

Without rubbing, vibrations may occur and the rims may eventually damage.
